Blitar – The midday sun was still dim, shrouded by thin, dark clouds as I journeyed. As I set foot at Sumber Bon C, a natural tourist attraction in Karangrejo Village, Garum, a cool breeze blew through the dense trees, creating the sound of rustling leaves.
As I first entered, a middle-aged woman sitting in front of a food stall near the entrance greeted me with a faint smile. In a soft voice, she greeted me and explained about Sumber Bon C.
“Usually, it’s crowded at this time of year, but since it’s still the rainy season, it’s a bit quieter,” said the caretaker, continuing to tell me her story. The story deepened as she shared her personal experiences guarding Sumber Bon C.
With an entrance fee of only IDR 3,000 and IDR 2,000 for motorcycle parking, I could enjoy the cool, pristine natural air to my heart’s content. The trees stood neatly in beautiful rows, and beneath them, green grass grew like a carpet.
The fish pond rippled gently, reflecting the shadows of the shady trees above. Several children were already happily playing by the edge of the pool, while others sat on chairs, enjoying the scenery.
There are also many interesting photo spots in several places, each with its own charm and uniqueness, making Sumber Bon C a perfect place to visit just for stock photos. The natural atmosphere of the photo spots, combined with the beauty of nature, creates an unforgettable experience.
“People usually use Sumber Bon C as a camping spot,” continued the caretaker, explaining that Sumber Bon C is also a popular camping spot for students and families.
Beside the fish pond, there’s a shallow pool, about 60 cm deep, that visitors often use for water play. The water slide, with its artificial structure made of cement and a ceramic base, is also an interesting attraction not to be missed.
As the clock struck around 3:00 PM, several families began to arrive. They spread out mats under the trees, unpacked their lunches, and chatted with their families.
As the park closed at 5:00 PM, the afternoon sun began to filter through the gaps in the leaves, creating a stunning view. Several young men were still chatting happily while smoking in the gazebo by the pool.
At Sumber Bon C, time seemed to slow down. There were no bright city lights, no deafening roar of vehicles. There was only a flowing peace, like a spring that never ran dry.
